  • The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, is a 1 day course which is video led and provides practical demonstrations and practice sessions for the participants. This course is aimed at healthcare providers who provide service to patient’s in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. These may include doctors, nurses, paramedics, medical technicians, physical and occupational therapists, doctor’s assistants, registrars, interns, medical and nursing students and other allied health personnel.

    Part 2 - BLS for Adults
    Part 3 - Automated external defibrillator for adults and children 8 years and older
    Part 4 - Team Dynamics
    Part 5 - BLS for infants and children
    Part 6 - Automated external defibrillator for infants and children less than 8 years of age
    Part 7 - Ventilation techniques
    Part 8 - Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
    Part 9 - Chocking relief for adults, children and infants
    Part 10 - Head trauma and traumatic brain injury

    Participants who successfully complete the course, including the written examination and skills evaluation, will receive an American Heart Association /Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa. This accreditation is recognised throughout the world. This certification is valid for 2 years.

    A maximum of only 9 participants can be accommodated in each workshop and attendance will be conducted on a first come first served basis.
    We therefore encourage you to submit your registration form and proof of payment as soon as possible to confirm your booking.
    Learners will receive the manual at least 2 weeks prior to the course date.

    NB: We hereby inform our valued clients that according to our Terms and Conditions of payment, no refunds are offered for any cancellation due to the financial implications associated with logistical arrangements prior any workshop/ training/ course.
    All cancellations must be communicated to HAI office in writing for the particular booking to be automatically rescheduled for the next workshop/ training/ course or preferably send a substitute who holds an authorisation letter from the previously registered client.


    The workshop agenda is subject to change if, for any reasons beyond the control of the organisers, it becomes necessary to alter the content, times, dates, venue or speakers.
