The goal of this workshop is to teach novices the basics of ultrasound in a concise and efficient manner so that they can start scanning quickly. The structure of the workshop should make it easy to apply, simple to follow, and practical to use. The enumeration of scanning steps and required images promote the establishment of standards and improve examination quality. Knowledge of anatomy is essential, as is the development of skilled ultrasound techniques. It is our hope that this workshop will contribute to the achievement of excellence in the daily practice of ultrasound scanning.
Day 1: FEMALE PELVIC AND BASIC OBSTETRIC ULTRASOUND

1st Trimester Pregnancy and Pathology
Practical session 1 (1st Trimester - CRL)
2nd Trimester Pregnancy (Fetal lie, BPD, HC, AC and FL)
Practical session 2 (BPD, HC, AC, FL)
2nd Trimester (Fetal Anatomy)
3rd Trimester (Placenta, AFI and internal os)
Practical session 3 (Fetal anatomy and Placenta location, AFI)
DAY 2: BASIC ABDOMEN ULTRASOUND
Equipment, How to optimize your image, terminology, orientation
Liver, gallbladder, biliary system
Practical Session 1
Pancreas, spleen, IVC, Aorta
Practical Session 2
Urinary system, Prostate and FAST
Practical session 3

The workshop is designed for healthcare professionals who would be expected to apply this knowledge and skills in their daily clinical practice.
