    DAY 1: ECG

    Day One will present comprehensive and major aspects of ECG monitoring and treatment in an emergency. In-depth structural, functions of the heart system, and provides detailed lectures and studies structured to enhance knowledge and skills for healthcare professionals will be covered. Healthcare professionals will reach a high level of competence in assessing and managing patients with cardiac emergencies. Case studies and interactive group discussions are an integral part.

    DAY 1 OBJECTIVES
    • Describe the conduction system of the heart.
    • Examine the pathogenesis of cardiac dysrhythmias.
    • Fully understand the basic ECG waves, complexes and deflections.
    • Analyse criteria from its clinical significance's and specific management of dysrhythmias.

    DAY 1 PROGRAMME
    • Anatomy and Physiology.
    • How the ECG works.
    • Normal ECG.
    • AV blocks.
    • Narrow complex and junctions arrhythmias.
    • Wide complex and Bundle branch block arrhythmias.
    • Myocardial ischemia.

    DAY 2: SHOCK & SHOCK SYNDROMES

    Day Two will focus on Shock and Shock Syndrome, designed to cover content, which includes definitions of shock, plus a comprehensive review of hemodynamic measurements and how different types of shock can affect this. The analysis of multiple case studies is considered as a key aspect of the course.

    DAY 2 OBJECTIVES
    • Body's mechanism to control blood pressure.
    • Pathophysiology of shock syndromes.
    • Differentiations between types of shock.
    • Management of the patient in shock, including pharmacological management.
    • Effect of shock on the different body systems.
    • Case of MODS

    DAY 2 PROGRAMME
    • Control of Blood pressure
      • Phystologic Control
      • Hypovolemic shock: Absolute; external fluid loss, Relative; internal fluid loss Intravascular-venous or arterial pooling Extravascular-capillary leakage/third spacing & Management case study.
      • Cardiogenic Shock: Pump problems, Management case study.
      • Distributive shock: Septic Shock-Phases, Anaphylactic Shock, Neurogenic Shock & Management case study.
    • Multi Organ Dysfunction Syndrome
      • Causes of MODS.
      • Hemodynamic instability.
      • Acute Respiration Distress Syndrome (ARDS).
      • Acute Tubular Necrosis (ANT).
      • Disseminated intra vascular coagulation (DIC).
      • Metabolic acidosis.
